Pinewood Studios Wedding Photographer
Pinewood Studios grew up around Heatherden Hall – a magnificent Victorian mansion in Buckinghamshire, on the edge of London. The studios have been at the heart of the British film industry since the 1930s and have seen productions from the ‘Carry On’ films to James Bond, and nearly everything in between. Film and cinema has definitely influenced my work as a photographer, so it was a real treat to get behind the scenes with my camera and photograph this beautiful wedding at such a unique venue.
The Wedding
I joined Alan beforehand at the Bull Hotel in Gerrards Cross where many of the guests assembled. Alan is Irish and it was St. Patrick’s day, so a few pints of the black stuff managed to steady any nerves. A double-decker London bus ferried the guests to the studio lot at Pinewood and Priya arrived shortly afterwards looking stunning in her Donna Spyrou dress. Heatherden Hall and the gardens provided a beautiful backdrop to the day. I loved photographing this wedding and everything about the celebration – there was a great atmosphere, everyone had come for a party and a good time!
From the bride and groom:
“The pics are amazing, exactly what we were looking for! Some absolute gems in there. I love the one of our friend Adam feeding his little kid right beneath the Bond Villain with his cat. It’s like life imitating art, priceless!”
It was such a great pleasure to share Priya and Alan’s day and produce this set of photographs for them.
