Bodleian Library Wedding Photographer
I used to live in Oxford so I know it well. I always have a lovely feeling of being at home there so I was really pleased to be asked to photograph Jenny and Andy’s special day. The couple chose to get married in Oxford as they met at University there. The Bodleian Library is a wonderful historic venue and Cogges Farm was an idyllic setting for the relaxed reception.
This is the day in Jenny’s own words:
I don’t think that we really had a theme for our wedding. Apart from the avoidance of pastel shades and those creepy bird cages! My best memories of the day were the feeling as I walked into the ceremony in the Bodleian Library that all these people – family, friends, and new members of the family I had never met before were all there for us, to wish us well in married life.
I also enjoyed the opportunity to make a speech – to talk about all the best bits of my family, Andy’s family and my new husband. We are not normally known as a soppy couple and so it all the more meaningful to be able to talk about our relationship and how proud I am to be married to Andy.
Whenever we visit Oxford the sun always seems to be shining, and happily this was also true of our wedding day! Cogges Farm gave us the freedom to do whatever we fancied – and so our chicken wire creative team excelled themselves decorating the barn.
Advice for brides
My advice to anyone planning a wedding would be to spend your budget on whatever you care about; we focused on good food, drink and music and really enjoyed the day as a result. Also I would recommend not worrying too much – if you are giving people free booze then they will probably be happy!

I’d love to hear about your plans for the day and show you some more of my work from the Bodleian Library and other venues in Oxfordshire.
