Hampton Court House Wedding Photographer
Hampton Court House is a beautiful venue situated on the edge of Bushey Park. I’ve photographed a few weddings just across the road at Hampton Court Palace, but it really was a joy to discover Hampton Court House. The day started with heavy rain, but thankfully it gave way to beautiful sunshine after the ceremony.
Here is the day in Padi and Tom’s own words:
“We wanted our wedding to be a reflection of everything we love in life. Each other, our family and friends, our Persian and English cultures and, most importantly, food!
It was important for us to be able to hold the civil and Persian ceremonies and reception all in one venue with the option of using our own caterer therefore Hampton Court House was the perfect choice. We had dreams of a wonderfully warm, sunny day. Alas, this was not entirely the case and the heavens opened before Padi made her big entrance and we had a thunderstorm during the civil ceremony. Instead of putting a dampener on the day, it contributed to one of the best moments as there was a big clap of thunder before I said “I do”. We took that as a good sign for our marriage!
Food and entertainment
We had a wonderful guitarist to entertain the guests both before and after the civil ceremony. His amazing music sparked off a lot pre-dinner dancing much to the delight of our guests. Two of our closest friends conducted the traditional Persian ceremony in both English and Farsi which was very special moment for us.
We wanted to make sure that our guests did not go hungry at any point during the day. We had Persian canapés and a traditional English Ice Cream tricycle It is traditional at Persian weddings to have bountiful fruit stand. The pineapple palm trees complemented the palm trees in the gardens of our venue and our guests were intrigued by the inclusion of the mini cucumbers!
It was truly the best day of our lives and we really enjoyed celebrating with our family and friends. We love Nick’s natural, light filled style and the photographs are everything we hoped for and more as they really captured the spirit of the day”
After delivering the photographs I received these kind words from Padi and Tom:
“Ahhhh, Nick we absolutely LOVE the photos! Watching the slideshow brought back so many happy memories of the day and made us feel so emotional. You have captured the joy and happiness we felt on the day so perfectly! We love how the slideshow ended with a picture of Tom’s dad in his element! We have been looking over the photos again and again and we love them so much! The slideshow in particular makes us both really emotional every time we watch it.”
