Syon Park Wedding Photographer | Christine + Michael

Syon Park Wedding Photographer

Syon Park is one of my favourite wedding venues, so I was very happy when Christine and Michael’s asked me to photograph their big day. The day started at Christine and Michaels house nearby for some photographs of Christine getting ready in familiar surroundings. The marriage ceremony took place in the beautiful Great Hall. After reception drinks the day continued into the warm summer evening in the spectacular Great Conservatory.

The photographs

My favourite photographs from the day were taken in the Green Drawing Room as the bridal party waited for guests to assemble in the Great Hall. There were some lovely moments as the bridesmaids attended to Christine’s dress and makeup. As the weather was so good we had some gorgeous evening light for some natural and relaxed golden hour portraits too.

Here is a bit more about the wedding day in their own words:

“We wanted our wedding to represent us – laid back, good fun, but still a beautiful and memorable day full of love and happiness. We were so lucky with the weather; the beginning of the week had been dreary and wet, but on Friday morning it was absolutely perfect.  Chickens play a big part of our lives! We have two gorgeous hens at home and whilst we were not allowed to have them with us on the day, we made sure we incorporated them into the decorations.

As Christine is a teacher, she was able to put a real DIY spin on the wedding. She did as many things by hand as possible, including the guest favour bags, menus, jam jars and candle lanterns lighting the path to the conservatory. We even enlisted the help of a friend and florist who did all the amazing flowers for the big day. Since we wanted a relaxed wedding, we opted for a buffet for the wedding breakfast from Seasoned Events to allow guests to wander and help themselves to the lovely food.”

“We are so grateful for Nick’s hard work on the day. He worked tirelessly for the entire day. Making sure he captured as many of the details and special moments as possible. He showed genuine interest and sensitivity towards all aspects of the day. The photos are stunning and really showed how happy we were – thank you!”

Thanks for the kind words, it was a real pleasure! This was such a magical wedding to photograph. If you are researching your wedding photography or looking for a Syon Park wedding photographer please do get in touch!
