Tournerbury Woods is a peaceful and secluded family run estate, with outstanding views across Chichester Harbour to the South Downs. Amy and Cahal’s Story
We met in medical school and were living in Australia when we got engaged. We moved back to the UK afterwards – picking a life close to family over one with nice wine, sunshine and koalas. Although this was a difficult decision, our wedding day was clear proof that it was the right one.
We got married at Tournerbury Woods Estate, a gorgeous venue on Hayling Island nestled in green woodlands and showcasing the stunning south coast. It was the perfect venue for our no-fuss, natural and minimalist theme. We barely needed to decorate at all which was great for our planning and our budget.

When looking for photographers we were drawn to Nick’s style of photography which captures natural moments so beautifully. Neither of us are overly comfortable in front of a camera, but from our first phone call with Nick he really put us at ease and we knew he was on our wavelength. He really listened to what we wanted and gave brilliant suggestions and advice.
Nick’s skill and experience was evident on the day and he made us feel so relaxed. Often we weren’t even aware that he was around but when we look back through the photos he was everywhere at once! There was not a single important moment he did not capture and we can’t thank him enough for that. Our favourite photos are hard to chose but we love the ones taken in golden hour down by the beach. Nick orchestrated the most perfect back drop and caught the pure happiness we felt when walking along the shore together.
Nick is not only a fantastic photographer but he was an absolute pleasure to have at our wedding. Many of our guests commented on how friendly and good fun he is, and some of our family have gone on to book him for their own events. We cannot recommend Nick enough and hope he can make your day as special as he made ours.
