Natalie and Robert | Royal Ballet School Wedding, White Lodge, Richmond Park | London

Richmond Park wedding at the Royal Ballet School

A truly epic wedding for Natalie and Robert at The Royal Ballet School at White Lodge in Richmond Park. The Royal Ballet School allow White Lodge to be used for no more than six weddings per year, so it was a rare treat to be able to record Natalie and Robert’s special day.

Natalie got ready at her family home with makeup by the lovely Stephie Hoyle while the boys’ preparations took place mainly at the pub next to the church! After the service the couple were showered with confetti. I always love photographing confetti – it’s always a moment of real joy! Then the short journey into Richmond Park was by vintage coach for the guests and bicycle rickshaw for the bride and groom!

Champagne and canapés were served outside in the summer sunshine and I took the couple for a short wander in Richmond Park for some photographs together. I was hoping there might be some deer nearby to include in the photographs, but they seemed a bit camera-shy on the day.

Entertainment in the evening was provided by Fake Tan who describe themselves at the ultimate guilty pleasures party band – they were superb, but I’m guessing it’s not the usual type of music to echo around a ballet school!

This was a wonderful day with a very special couple at an amazing venue. I’m so pleased you asked me to photograph your day – it was a great pleasure. Thanks to the lovely people at White Lodge – nothing was any trouble and the day ran perfectly. Thanks also to my assistant and second photographer, Emmie Scott.

From Natalie:

‘They are awesome shots and very much capture the day… absolutely stunning and fun and the way they portray the fab day!’
