Wedding Photography at Banking Hall in the City of London.
There was a great buzz in London on a mild and sunny New Year’s eve as I headed into the City for Yuji and Stephen’s wedding at Banking Hall. It is a stunning wedding venue in the heart of London’s financial district, just across the road from the Bank of England. Yuji got ready at the nearby Threadneedles Hotel before making the short walk to the venue for the late afternoon ceremony.
The art deco grandeur of the Banking Hall provided an impressive backdrop to the marriage ceremony, and later to wedding breakfast, laid out in a banquet style along two long tables complimenting the space perfectly.
I do love winter weddings, and even with no chance for portraits in daylight, we still went outside for some photographs of Yuji and Stephen together with illumination provided by the city lights and the festive glow from a few Christmas trees!
New Year’s Eve Party
The couple had intended the day to be a New Year’s Eve party with the added bonus of a wedding, and they succeeded with a great party atmosphere reaching a climax as the countdown ushered in 2016 with glitter confetti in every direction. It was a pleasure to be invited to this wonderful party – even though I was working I was a great time! If you are thinking about your wedding photography at Banking Hall I’d love to hear from you to discuss your plans.
Here is what Yuji and Stephen said:
Wow, this is fantastic!! We are in Buenos Aires at the moment on our last day of honeymoon, and we’ve just watched the slideshow over and over. You’ve made our day! I can’t believe how natural it all looks and, at the same time, so much more glamorous than reality. You are incredibly talented, and we are so grateful to you. Thank you so much.
